What do “wild boar” & “fire engine red” have in common?
Sometimes you struggle to find the right words to describe the wine you’re tasting, and sometime’s it just flows naturally. Here’s the Top Tasting Notes & Wine Descriptions at this year’s Bi-Annual Staff Meeting & Wine Tasting:
- Like a country girl, this wine is pretty & fresh with a touch of rough & tumble.
- “wild boar”
- “salty nuts”
- “Like wet earth.” “No, wet stone.”
- “tuscan meat”
- “I like it.”
- Sufficiently “oaky and buttery”, but wonderfully balanced with structure, fruit and acidity…think lemon custard pie. Rich, toasty and tart!
- “2009 was a great year in Burgundy.”
- “wet nuts”
- “Everyone in this room has the most beautiful eyes.”
- “raspberry cola?”
- “Don’t tell me what I’m tasting!”
- “Brawny, yet sensual.”
- “Do you taste fire engine red?” “No, that’s just Lois.”
- Smooth and lush in the mouth with a touch of mulling spice and wet earth on the finish.
- “Delish. It’s delish.”
