1. How much does it cost to have an event at The Venue?
Pricing is based on a flat rate which includes food, the space, staff and basic décor. The flat rate is based on the guest count for your event. Alcohol is billed on consumption. For specific pricing for your event, please click here to connect with Maggie.
2. Is there minimum/maximum?
There is no minimum guest count for The Venue, we’ve even done intimate dinners for 2 people. However, the maximum for a seated event is 40 people, and the maximum for a cocktail style event is 65 people.
3. Will Chef Joey cook for my party?
Chef Joey’s schedule doesn’t allow him to personally attend all of the events at The Venue. However, if you can’t get enough Joey C., you can guarantee his presence with an appearance fee.
4. What does the menu for an event look like? Is it the same food as the restaurant?
You’ll create a menu with our staff specifically catered to your event. Most of the dishes available at the restaurant are available for your event, in addition to other menu items Chef Joey has created just for special events and parties. And of course, if there’s something special you absolutely must have, we’ll make it for your event.
5. Can I provide my own chef/catering services at The Venue?
Yes you can, although it’s not frowned upon, it is also not suggested. Pricing varies with the type of event you’re hosting and we’d love to chat with you about the details before we send you a proposal. We’ll provide you with the space, including a stainless steel Electrolux kitchen, a full bar and the serving and bartending staff for the night. Any equipment rental, flower, deco and special performers can also be arranged through us.
6. What are the bar options at The Venue?
The Venue has a full bar available, and our bartender, Robert, is and expert at mixing up the best cocktail, but just like the food menu you can tailor the options specifically for your event. If grampa loves his scotch & sodas with Johnny Walker Red Label, Robert will be sure to have it for him. Our beverage director Tracy will work with you to select wines and any specialty cocktails you’d like for the evening.
7. Do you have a bakery you work with, if I want a special cake for my party?
We’ve worked with a number of different bakeries over the years and we have our preferences, but if you want a specific cake from your favorite bakery, we’ll order that one just for you.
8. What about music?
Our in house DJ August Goulet is very talented and accommodating bringing not only music but a great vibe to every party. His fee is negotiable and fairly priced. The Venue is equipped with aniPod ready sound system. If you enjoy the music in the little owl dining room, we also have an iPod pre-loaded with all the same music we play at the restaurant. You can also hook up your own iPod and play your music. We’ve also worked with a number of live musicians and can find the perfect band for your event. Or if you’re looking for something more causal, we have also can offer an “iPod DJ” that can spin the songs from an iPod all night, so you don’t have to worry about creating that perfect play list for your party, or footing the bill for all that fancy DJ equipment.
9. What about décor?
We welcome you to stop by for a visit, you’ll see The Venue looks beautiful as is. For a subtle and warm touch, we often light The Venue with the glow of candles. But that doesn’t mean the place doesn’t look good all dressed up. We also offer our in house florist, Arrangements by Maggie Floral, services and full design and décor packages. 10. But I really love the ambiance of the little owl dining room, can you accommodate large parties there?
The restaurant can accommodate reservations of parties up to 6 guests, as that is the largest table at little owl. For larger parties, a restaurant shut-down is necessary. Pricing for a shut -down is based on the day of the week, as well as whether it’s for brunch, lunch, or dinner service. For specific pricing, click here to connect with Maggie.
